Fifteen years back, I saw one day a friend clean-shaven after having for a long time a 10-day beard. He explained to me that being in his mid-fifties, he needed to get rid off his beard that was turning grey for avoiding being perceived and treated as a tired veteran in his workplace.   1. More than true George I am 59 I am lucky cause I still have no white hair, I try to dress and look smart , I still have good energy levels and I try to show that. I behave against stereotypes because I do not believe in them. Result: the FD (49 yo Dutch ) I report to told me that he admires me and he is wondering how am I still so active , the heart of the team , etc. We have youngsters in the company who really do not breath , they have no footprint in the organization of course they are more capable in systems and technology.     • Thanks, Gianni. You’re absolutely right. To a certain point, it’s up to us, the mindset and the attitude we demonstrate, even the dress code we choose as you say, to set a different more favored to our case environment!
